Built on a solid foundation
The Bridges West is a different kind of community, a unique place where personal history and modern comfort come together to create a truly special selection of homes unlike any other. This development is more than a building site—it’s deeply personal to the people who have chosen to create space for new lives to flourish in a place they cherish.
Values
Where community values meet modernity. A sense of closeness and community is at the heart of what The Bridges West is all about.
This neighborhood was originally a homestead for the Scrivanich family. The Scrivaniches want to bring this same sense of neighborly community, warmth and friendship to their new development.
The single-family homes being built here are thoughtfully placed on distinctive lots, perfectly situated to maximize privacy and make the most of unique environmental features. They are also just minutes away from trails, parks, and the Lake Washington waterfront. Juanita Beach—an enviable spot to spend a sunny afternoon—is just a two-minute drive away. But residents will also have access to everything they love about city living.
The Community
Kirkland has established steady and long-term appreciation in property values, demonstrating a proven track record of consistent growth, and a high quality of life that makes this city one of the most desirable places in the region to call home. Its picturesque position on the shores of Lake Washington, diverse mix of people from all different cultures and backgrounds, and variety of businesses and employers makes it a place in the Puget Sound basin unlike any other.
Abundant Opportunities
WORLD-CLASS COMPANIES
Industry
Technology giants like Microsoft and Google employ thousands of hardworking local residents, and regularly recruit the best talent from across the globe. And with major companies located right in town, as well as easy access to nearby cities like Seattle, Redmond, and Bellevue (with companies like Amazon, Boeing and Microsoft), moving to centrally located Kirkland makes sense for many transplants in a wide variety of industries.
Commute
Residents of The Bridges West have almost unlimited choices when it comes to getting around. Close proximity to I-405 allows drivers to easily head south to Bellevue, or continue west to central Seattle. Those who prefer not to drive into these busy areas will appreciate the Kingsgate Park & Ride center, right off the freeway in nearby Totem Lake, where they can access numerous bus lines, bike storage lockers, and ride share opportunities, and connection to multiple bus lines is also available at the Kirkland Transit Center.
Public Transit
King County and the city of Kirkland are working diligently to expand public transit options for the area’s citizens beyond the buses currently available at Kingsgate. Future plans include an I-405 rapid transit bus route, and an extension of the Link Light Rail to the Eastside, from downtown Seattle through Bellevue and Redmond.
Biking Paths and Trails
Those who prefer to bike to work will be excited to discover that the Kirkland area has many alternatives for them, too. Separate—and safe—bike paths can be found alongside several major roads like Washington 520, where a paved path stretches from Seattle across Lake Washington, past Bellevue and up toward Redmond. Avid bikers can connect from this route to the Jane Hague Highway, a gravel trail that connects Bellevue and southern Kirkland, or the Cross Kirkland Corridor, which sweeps north from Washington 520 up through Kirkland to Totem Lake.
Several large companies in the area, including Amazon and Expedia, have started their own corporate shuttle programs to help ensure employees’ trips to and from work are entirely stress-free.
